A boy decides he wants to learn the bass so he starts taking private lessons in his neighborhood.
After the first lesson, he comes home excited and tells his dad, "Today I learned to play an E." His father is pleased at his enthousiasm.
After the second lesson, he comes home even more excited and tells his dad, "Today I learned to play an A."
Things seem to be going well. But after his third lesson, the boy doesn't return home until 2:00am. His father was worried sick and demanded to know why his son was so late coming back from his lesson.
The boy replied, "Sorry Dad. I had a gig."
